DCA Calculator
Project what a regular investment (dollar-cost averaging) could grow to, based on an average return you assume.
⚠ This is a projection, not a prediction
This tool does the arithmetic for a number you provide — it has no idea what Bitcoin, a stock, or anything else will actually return. Past performance and hopeful assumptions are not guarantees. Use it to compare scenarios, not to plan around a specific outcome.
What is dollar-cost averaging?
Investing a fixed amount at regular intervals (e.g. monthly), regardless of price, instead of one lump sum. It's a common approach for volatile assets like crypto — it removes the pressure of trying to "time" any single purchase.
where r = monthly rate, n = number of months
Example: $100/month for 60 months at an assumed 1%/month average return → about $8,167 from $6,000 invested.
Why a small monthly rate makes a big difference
- 0% monthly return: $100/month for 60 months = exactly $6,000 (no growth).
- 0.5%/month: ≈ $6,977 from $6,000 invested.
- 1%/month: ≈ $8,167 from $6,000 invested.
- 2%/month: ≈ $11,405 from $6,000 invested — compounding accelerates fast at higher assumed rates.
Frequently asked questions
No — it assumes one smooth, constant average return every month. Real DCA into a volatile asset will look very different month to month; this tool only shows where a steady average rate would land you.
This tool doesn't suggest one — that would require predicting the future. Try a few different rates to see how sensitive the outcome is to your assumption, rather than trusting a single number.
